§ 1 Scope

These Terms of Use govern the use of the website-feedback.org platform ("the Service") provided by the operator named in the Imprint. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms.

§ 2 Description of the Service

The Service is a free, non-commercial platform on which users can submit small websites to receive structured, human-written feedback on aspects such as design, usability, performance, and SEO. No money changes hands. We do not offer guarantees of speed, suitability, or any specific outcome.

§ 3 Eligible projects

We only accept small projects: portfolios, single-page sites, small landing pages, hobby and club sites, personal blogs, and similar. We use an automated complexity score and reserve the right to refuse any submission that exceeds our capacity. In particular, we generally do not review online shops, dashboards, SaaS products, marketplaces, or large multi-page applications.

§ 4 No fees

The Service is free of charge. There are no subscriptions, one-time fees, or hidden costs. We do not run advertising or analytics on this site.

§ 5 Account & user obligations

To submit a project you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. You may only submit websites that you own or for which you have explicit permission from the owner to receive feedback. We may ask you to prove ownership before any review is performed (see § 7).

§ 6 Acceptable use

You may not submit content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or violates the rules of any jurisdiction in which the site is operated. You may not use the Service to harass, defame, or attempt to harm other parties. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules.

§ 7 Ownership verification

Before we review a submitted website we ask you to prove that you control it, by adding a meta tag to the homepage or by uploading a small text file at a fixed URL. We will fetch your homepage and the verification file once you click "Verify ownership". If neither is found, the project remains unverified and is not reviewed.

§ 8 Nature of the feedback

Any feedback we provide is a subjective, fallible, human opinion. It is not legal advice, tax advice, security advice, or accessibility certification. We are not liable for any decisions you make based on the feedback. The feedback is provided to you and only for your personal use; you may not republish it as if it were ours without our written consent.

§ 9 Liability

The Service is provided "as is", to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Liability for slight negligence is excluded except for damage to life, body, or health, or in cases of intent or gross negligence. Mandatory provisions of consumer-protection law remain unaffected.

§ 10 Termination

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account page. We may discontinue the Service or terminate any account at our discretion, in particular if usage becomes incompatible with the non-commercial nature of the project.

§ 11 Changes

We may update these Terms when the Service changes. We will display the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

§ 12 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If any provision is or becomes invalid, the remainder of the Terms remains in force.
